Are you a fan of timeless beauty? Visit Santa Ana’s historic center and spot Little Sparrow Café, a 42-seat bistro. Be amazed by the timeless beauty exuding from the café’s tile floors, plain blond-wood tables, and a wood-paneled lounge. And what is more? The café offers a neat menu starring shareable plates like house made charcuterie and rosemary madelines and carefully prepared entrees of scallops and grilled pork chop and other more…
Here are some of the café’s highly recommended delectable:
This spells M-A-R-V-E-L-O-U-S. It is so in appearance and in taste. The salmon meat is so cooked to my liking. It alone may be enough for a hearty breakfast or lunch. During my visit, I tried it with the Local Halibut with Chorizo and Clams. It was a successful attempt. Aside from the fact that they both starred my favorite seafood, they just simply go perfectly together.
A plate of delight! Upon serving, Seafood lovers’ eyes will certainly lit up with delight. The price, however, does not so much justify the small proportions that would leave diners craving for more especially those who are not really so prepared to spend much for another plate. But it may still be worth a try.
Tiki Tuesday on any day. This is the beverage that may quench both your thirst for something cold and your thirst for something cool. I love the sweet- sour taste and the playful twist of the fruit pulp. This is one is something I believe would never got out of fashion.
I have seen this treat in some other food caverns but it is in Little Sparrow Cafe that I have tasted the best preparation. I am amazed how skillful are the hands which prepared it so as to mask the unpalatable taste of rhubarb. The ice cream is fine and perfectly complements the baked good.
Some of the dishes, indeed, come with quite a price. But for those who are not so mindful with the cost but more with the quality may really find the place to be worth visiting. It offers something new on every visit because the menu changes from time to time.
The place, on the other hand, is really majestic on its own. It offers its patrons with special warmth in the inside despite its being open and spacious. Moreover, this may also be so because of their hospitable, accommodating and courteous people.
Truly, Little Sparrow Café seemed to be an attraction in Santa Ana’s historical core. Traffic and busy tables seem to start even at early mornings that reservation is a must. It is well recommended to visit the place in the evening so as to enjoy as well the terrific site of the place.
Overall, I am giving Little Sparrow Café a four twinkling stars!
