It is only out of love can we expect a lovely perfected cutting-edge fine dining and farm to table baking. This statement exactly fits Odys + Penelope, the brainchild of husband-and-wife chef team Quinn and Karen Hatfield. It is located along La Brea District, Los Angeles. Now they’re adding another culinary genre to their skill set at Odys + Penelope, their exposed-brick temple to South American wood-fire grilling. Prehistoric-looking short ribs sizzle off the smoky Argentinean brasero grill while porchetta gets cooked Brazilian-style on the massive churrasco barbecue pit.
Here are some of the other delights worth trying at Odys + Penelope:
Perfect combination. Everything in the treat is simply perfect. Without exaggeration, the béarnaise turned me into a béarnaise fanatic. The broccoli was well-seasoned. This is truly a well-rounded healthy dish that I could have a round of this every single week.
I had more than enough of this delight. Indeed, I feel very satiated. It was served on a huge portion. The flavor and the texture came so smoothly. I really have not made a good control of my bite on this kickshaw. The avocado, fennel, and the crisp bread were lightly dressed.
Yummy! I could have licked my plate clean were it not for the call of table etiquette. The ice cream have sent wonderful shiver to my spine. The meringue is just so smooth and creamy to my palate. If I am to rate this treat, I will give it a perfect five twinkling stars without any doubt. This treat is something that I wanna bag and make it a constant comfort food. But anyway, its being so rare and unique to Odys will surely make me frequent the place. And I bet, this works the same on all those who have tasted this heaven.
I have heard some reviews that the restaurant caters food on the salty side. But I think, otherwise. The cakes, the ice creams seemed to perfect to rebut the reviews.
With all the other food caverns I have experienced, Odys + Penelope is absolutely one of those at my top list.
The place is so nicely adorn that it can be a perfect food center for any occasion. Occasions such as birthday parties to romantic dates and anniversaries and family dates can perfectly fit in Odys. The food seemed to be friendly to all regardless of age. Only that, early reservations must be made most especially of larger accommodation is to be expected.
With respect to the services, It, too, is commendable. I understand that there are some who are unsatisfied with the service as well as with the management. But I think, that goes with the nature of the business. During my visit to the place, I could say that the hospitality and the warmth welcome I had received from the people there add up to the experience.
Overall, I am giving Odys + Penelope a perfect 9 in a scale of 1-10!
